Brazil and Alternative Fuels

Made by Global Nomads Group gng.org Check out a car that could be straight out of a James Bond movie. It runs on compressed natural gas AND gasoline. This type of “flex-car” is very common where we were (some cars even ran on cooking oil!). Just another example of how Brazil is leading the pack on alternative fuels and energy conservation… … alternative fuel brazil gng car gasoline gas james bond global nomads group

Decisions are driven by consumers and if you want a natural gas car, convert it.
We live in a free country and the govenment shoundn’t make that decision for us, we should make the decision and the market will provide what we want. Economics 101

    It´s Mamona, isn’t it?

The corn-based ethanol was a money making scam from the start. Don’t be fooled by ethanol either, its the same gimmick.

Brazil had FOUR options at the pump TEN years ago (including ethanol and methanol). I learned this from a brazilian couple I met. They also told me about a plant that Brazil was investigating that was really amazing- I wish I remembered the name of it.

  5. marcelojiu says:

the etanol (alcool) is much more effcient and more cheap actually, check for know, with alcool you got ur car faster and save ur money, etanol rulez

My dad is a customer service guy for a natural gas company and he has this flex fuel thing in his work truck. It isnt hard to convert. you dont need a fuel pump, just run a line straight to the injectors cuz its pressurized. so they do have it in the states, not just brazil and it doesnt realy save money cuz natural gas is still a finite resource from the same people who drill for oil

  7. tomterahedrob says:

OIL co get piliticians to tell us the lies no one belives.ex :drillling in ANWR= “independence from foreign oil”.reality:not for long, besides, the world wide price for oil=oil co.wont sell us even our own oil cheap.

  8. PHOENIXJ2111 says:

our government has let us down! we vote for the right people to lead the way for better progress with our country and they still let us down with not passing laws to promote other forms of fuel. we need to FIRE them and have them work for once. ethanol whether from corn, stray or whatever is the answer. even grass can be used as a fuel and is CHEAP. but the big OIL companies will not let that happen. they sound like the cigarette companies in the past……

  9. jesslessthemess says:

it’s called magnegas. Look it up. Look up gasification, hydropyrolysis.
There’s 1000s of people making their own gas. So long as you don’t wait for Ford or Walmart to sell it, you can do it.

I love it how people in other nations criticize our way of live with transportation when if you were in our position, you’d be doing the same shit. Unless you have lived here and did the opposite, please do not speak such nonsense. LOL lets walk 20 miles to work so others in other nations can stop seeing us as lazy Americans, Get the fuck out of here….

  11. racerboyGTR says:

Dude, FUCK corn based ethanol. The energy saving ehanol comes from sugar. LONG LIVE SUGAR!

  12. alextheromanian says:

well we have dumbasses backing bush up…and now this moron…of a republican nominee mccane…who doesnt see any other way trough this but trough war and destruction in the name of “FREEDOM”

stop fucking supporting them and start getting togheder as a nation i cant believe NOONE IS BITCHING ABOUT GAS PRICES…PEOPLE JUST GO TO THE PUMP AND PAY MORE AND MORE WITHOUT A PEEP.

ITS CALLED A STRIKE!!!!!! WAKE THE FUCK UP!

  13. alextheromanian says:

youre a dumbass..and obviously never seen for yourself.

where people can walk. THEY WALK or take the buss subway or train.

OTHER PLACES EVERYTHING IS BUILT SO FAR AWAY THAT YOU CANT WALK…and WAITING 45 MINUTES FOR A BUSS ISNT A SOLUTION.

youre the lazy one for not checking your facts before you start talking shit.

    caalllmmm dooowwnnn!!

  15. cfellow says:

Natural gas is not a long term solution. When gas prices become so unbearable so that everybody moves to natural gas… guess what? its gonna go up.

We need technology so that we can make the fuel in our backyard.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

  16. PowerfullDiesel says:

Nature gas *, is also a fossil fuel, ethanol is a joke, you want people to starve and work under slave-like conditions so you can drive a car? BIOGAS is the real way to go! And you will have to give up your car, and jump on the bus, train! But do you guys have that in america? NO, because your so god damn lazy and always have been dependent on your little car. When the oil flow gets cut-off, america will be DOOMED. I red somewhere an average american spends 39 min a day, in a car.

  17. sierracuban says:

I agree with the comments of how we have been sitting on our butt as a nation when it comes to energy…We have let the oil companies dictate our energy policy…That would be equal to letting a FOX guard a chicken coop….Wake up
Americans ! Let’s take our nation back….The oil companies are ALL for them, they care NOT for the people….

  18. dwiggs77 says:

Brazil got serious about alternative fuel back in the 70’s after the gas crisis…smart…we sat on our asses.they are a fuel independent country because they have worked on it for 30 years. they also are able to produce allot of ethanol from sugar cane, being a tropical country. we all can learn something from the Brazilians hard work.

I just converted over to CNG with my 2000 dodge Neon. It wasnt to hard. I spent about $1000 on parts that includes a used tank from a dodge van I bought online for $350. I think its awsome that gas prices are so high. by charging so much for gas, the world is going to come up with better and cheeper ways to get around. Big oil is only going to lose in the long run.

  20. hummer4x4guy says:

jlong start emailing the fuel stations you have near you and tell them you want CNG. I keep doing the same myself

  21. jlong232 says:

I have a Ford F250 that run on natural gas(CNG), but I can not find any station.

  22. concerned00citizen says:

  23. concerned00citizen says:

Conglom. are Constitutional illegal but what is your Congressperson doing to break them down? Mind love destroying the middle class…..

  24. acerd1 says:

Search Google people they are kits out there like this. I’ve seen them available for diesels but not for gas cars. Try also electrolysis fuel cells if anyone gets curious.
