The cost of palm oil has risen dramaticsally amid European demands for alternative fuels. Indonesia and Malaysia are the world’s top two palm oil exporters But as Al Jazeera’s Divya Gopalan reports, the UN has objected to the use of this edible fuel.

Europe, Russia, Japan and North America have actually reached a plateau if not started to dwindle sharply in quite a few areas in the civilized world.
the problem lies in the Third World (the rest of Asia, Africa and Latin America) , the ticking of the population time bomb resonates louder with the passing of each year.

How “logical” is that, the ground become “toxic”, gee, I won’t want consume palm oil then.
The only problem with the palms is the leaves fall off and cover the ground. No ground cover will grow because they become toxic!!! Or so I have heard……..

Indonesia is the third largest emitter of CO2 because of these palm plantations. Stupid idiots

Palm oil is EVERYWHERE in processed foods in our supermarkets, so it means basically that we eat the rainforests everyday, and we seat for our breakfast on chairs made on the extincted Tiger’s kingdom trees.
So much for the indonesian crooks, making money because of OUR needs.

There is no solution for enviromental friendly or whatsoever! This is world is overpopulated. Just like coachcroach doing harm to human, human is causing harm to the mother earth. Only one solution, a new world order must be establish, or else the total dooms of humanity in this world.

Fuels others than Petrol are a necessity not an alternative. This report shows as if this world is environmentally friendly to fuels and therefore these countries have to cut down forest. Divya mucked it up at the last.
no no no the reason why the rain forest have been cut down is to make way for palm oil groves. besides it is not a regional source. why should we be tied to another country for fuel.
